NYC DELEGATION TRIP 04/2025 : DAY 3
09.04.2025
As the Berlin Fashion International delegation reached the halfway point of the week, the day began at the FIT DTech Lab, where Executive Director Michael Ferraro provided a compelling introduction to the intersection of fashion and technology. Delegates explored cutting-edge innovations and learned how interdisciplinary collaboration is shaping the future of the industry.
Remaining at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the group took part in the Sustainable Business & Design Conference. The panel discussions focused on the fashion industry's role in driving closed-loop systems—highlighting how creative sectors are advancing sustainability by reducing or eliminating resource waste.
In the afternoon, Juliane Eichler from the German American Chamber of Commerce in New York (GACCNY) led a session on e-commerce strategies for entering the U.S. market. She shared valuable insights into digital platforms, customer acquisition, and logistical considerations for successful online retail operations.
The day concluded with a special session featuring top voices from Vogue and GQ U.S., including Nicole Phelps, Marc Holgate, and Samuel Hine. Delegates gained exclusive perspectives on editorial direction, brand positioning, and how to resonate with American fashion media.
Berlin Fashion X International is supported by a state programme financed by ERDF funds and funds from the state of Berlin.
